Fibre Supervisor

Role Overview & Responsibilities

Lanes Infrastructure are one of the UK’s fastest growing telecoms infrastructure provider, with a projected turnover in excess of £100 million, over 900 people and a network work branches across London & the Southeast of England.

We are looking for a Fibre Manager who will be responsible for overseeing fibre activities on construction sites for fibre builds. Your Main responsibility as a Fibre Manager will be to manage the day to day running of the project ensuring all works are completed on time and to a high quality.

Responsibilities:

• You will manage sub-contractors and their activity e.g. splicing, PIA sub ducting cabling & fibre blowing for Network and SDU and MDU builds
• You will liaise with Highways and Local authorities to ensure everything is in place for the works.
• Motivate, guide and mentor team members to exceed goals and create a positive work environment
• Train new employees in company standards and job duties
• Update daily/weekly reports with achieved productivity
• Determine the resource requirements for the completion of all works
• Supervision of all operatives, subcontractors

Skills & Experience:

• Previous experience of managing sub-contractor teams completing fibre activities
• MDU experience
• Supervisor Ticket - Desired
• Working knowledge of fibre activity (splicing, PIA ducting, fibre blowing)
