Cleaning and Laundry Assistant

Permanent

Starting Rate: £9.00 per hour - equivalent to Salary £19,305 per annum

Location: 1 Cardiff Road, Taffs Well, Cardiff, CF15 7RA

Working days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Working hours: 9:00am-6:00pm

Including a 45-minute lunch break each day. You will be given a 15 minute break in the morning, 15 mins at lunch time and another 15 minutes in the afternoon = 8.25 hours per day = 41.25 hours a week.

You are expected to:

Have excellent communication skills in both telephone and face to face

Have a great ability to build relationships with customers and staff.

Be numerate and IT literate

Have an excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Outlook.

Be highly organised, methodical, consistent, an eye for detail, a great finisher and efficient.

Good presentation is essential

Managing conflicting priorities, work well under pressure and finish all daily tasks

Role and Responsibilities:

• We can increase your hours by offering you over time.
• Pay rate is age sensitive and depending on experience but meets and/or exceeds the National Minimum wage.
• You will fully trained & responsible for opening and/or closing up the shop.
• You will work in our laundry room, washing, folding and ironing clothes.
• Serving customers & taking payments
• Calculating customer bills & contacting customers for payment
• If you are required to, you will be cleaning houses and offices in a team with a supervisor and other staff who will train you up to Ladybirds cleaning standards. Once fully trained you will have the opportunity to progress to a supervisor position if you are reliable, good eye for detail, team leader abilities and a good problem solver.
• We may also offer evenings and weekend work which is optional.
• We provide transport from our shop in Taffs Well. You will start and finish your working day here.
