Data Technology Lead - Inside IR35

A data technology lead is required to join a household name as part of their technology centre of excellence. The data tech lead will assist in defining technology & engineering principles, input into the data governance process and aid the reference data architecture. This is not a hands on delivery or data engineering role but will engage with designing a technical solution framework, working with partners, and defining technology direction.

Role responsibilities:

• Assisting in setting technology strategy, architecture, and engineering principles for technology function
• Driving innovation across technology functions, providing expertise and mentorship to the unit
• Ensuring benefits from the most appropriate technology choices, with an eye on strategic ambition, speed of change as well as cost
• Supporting technology partners in delivering change in line with overall technology strategy of creating modular, cloud-first solutions
• Developing strong relationships and collaborative ways of working at all levels across internal and external stakeholders
• Owns, builds, and maintains data engineering roadmap, such that it is easily communicated to partners and the wider technology functions,
• Inputs into approaches across the data landscape including Master Data Management, Data Quality, Data Lineage, Data Dictionaries and BI/Analytics
• Defines repeatable patterns, tools and approaches for all teams, ensuring that data is landed in the desired target architecture in a timely, secure manner
