Assistant Accountant

Role Overview & Responsibilities

Based in our Hungerford office, you will be part of a small friendly team preparing year end accounts from manual and computerised records.

Your duties will include:

· Preparing a variety of client’s year end accounts for sole trade, partnership and Limited companies to final review level.

· Assisting junior members of the team with queries and in house training.

· Client contact to request missing information and resolve queries.

Candidate requirements:

· Minimum of 5 years’ accountancy practice experience in a similar role.

· Confident in MS office (word/excel/outlook).

· Pro-active, ability to manage deadlines and own work flow.

· Attention to detail.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Able to use initiative to respond to various queries.

· Knowledge of Iris software advantageous but not essential.

· Personal & Business Tax knowledge would expand the role.

· Part Qualified/Qualified/QBE applicants will be considered.

The Role:

· Permanent Full time.

· Monday to Friday 9-5 with 1-hour lunch (35-hour week).

· Salary range £32,000 - £45,000 per annum depending on experience.
