Role Overview & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a caseload of transactions from instruction through to completion
  • Liaising with internal clients and stakeholders, leaseholders, solicitors, local authorities and other third parties.
  • Drafting contracts for sale and purchase and portfolio contracts.
  • Dealing with pre-emption rights, complex land registry applications and unregistered titles.
  • Performing legal due diligence on matters such as the interpretation of leases, deeds and other property title documents.
  • Conducting legal research and assisting with the creation and regular maintenance, improvement of and updating of precedents.
  • Keeping up to date and advising on new regulatory rules.
  • Keeping an interest in legislative changes and assisting with responses to government consultations.

Skills required:

  • A qualified lawyer or similar qualification.
  • At least 3 years of post-qualification experience in residential and commerical conveyancing and non-contentious property work is required.
  • A self-starter who will hit the ground running, enthusiastic.
  • Excellent communicator, and a creative thinker.
  • A high degree of integrity and reliability.
  • A solid understanding of conveyancing procedures and relevant property law and the ability to understand and explain legal technicalities and processes.
  • Ability to draft various clauses and documents and the ability to appreciate the implications.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and the ability to advise and negotiate effectively.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Β£40,000.00 per year
