Transport Planner
Role Overview & Responsibilities
Jordan TM Limited are looking to recruit an experienced Transport Planner to join our team. Working on a 5 day-week rota basis (8 hour shift), 40h per week – we have various shifts available and open to discuss with the right candidate.
You will contribute to the smooth and efficient operational activities within the office to ensure customer needs and expectations are met. You will provide administration support to the team in relation to communicating information to the drivers, reporting information through daily briefings, monitoring the completion of documentation ensuring it`s done in line with company procedures.
What are we looking for?
·Previous experience within a transport/logistics organisation (preferred)
·knowledge of driver legislation and working time directive
·Good geographical knowledge of the UK
·Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements
·Experience of managing conflicting priorities in a fast-moving environment
·Ability to take a creative approach to problem solving.
What you’ll do on a typical day:
·Assisting drivers arriving for routes
·Act as first point of contact of any Driver issues that occur during the shift.
·Ensuring trailers will arrive at destinations at the scheduled times
·Undertaking compliance checks with drivers
·Ensure KPI’s and targets are achieved and maintained
