Archery and Axe Throwing Instructor

Role Overview & Responsibilities

Isle of Wight Aqua Park are looking for two positive, confident individuals to join us for the upcoming season. You will join our team as an Archery and Axe Throwing instructor, delivering fantastic, entry level, hour long sessions to groups of up to 24 people whilst ensuring their safety.

For this role, you do not need experience as a target sports instructor, although that is beneficial. What you do need is proven public speaking skills and the ability to deliver high standards of customer service in order to deliver consistently fun and memorable sessions.

Due to the nature of this role, you need to:

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Hold a First Aid certificate.
• Have adequate transport in order to get to us for 9:30am, leaving work around 18:30.
• Have an interest in or experience doing Archery or Axe Throwing.

• Have the confidence to deliver a fun and safe session to out customers.
• It is desirable that you hold a Archery GB qualification or have experience with Archery and/or Axe Throwing.

Successful candidates will have excellent communication skills and a passion for target sports and become an ambassador for Isle of Wight Aqua Park.

Hours of Work:
This is a weekend role initially, with flexibility in the summer for 1 weekend day off.
Guaranteed minimum of 15 hours per week, increasing during summer holidays.
Shift length initially 8:30am-4:30pm increasing to 18:30 during summer holidays.

1 x Short season = Summer holidays only with training/trial shifts in early July.
1 x Long season = Starting asap, finishing October

Due to the nature of the business, we may not be able to consider candidates who have holiday during the summer holidays.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 2-4 months
Part-time hours: 20-40 per week

Salary: £10.00-£11.50 per hour
