Role Overview & Responsibilities

APPRENTICE ELECTRICIAN

This apprenticeship is offered by the Holborn, London office of Integral under the terms and conditions of the J.I.B. The apprenticeship will work towards passing the AM2 exam, enabling the candidate to qualify as an Electrician.

The Electrical Installation City & Guilds & NVQ offered as part of this three-year craft apprenticeship. The candidate will need to live within commuting distance to central London.

The apprenticeship:

Health, Safety & Quality

  • Responsible for passing a CSCS (H&S) test.
  • Responsible for attending site inductions, reading the site safety procedures and adhering to all safety instructions.
  • To work with and take direction from an Integral Supervising Operative.

Education

  • Qualifications required; minimum GCSE grade 5 in Maths, English & Science
  • Will attend day-release at college for the hours required.

Site Work

  • Will shadow an Integral Electrician to gain all the necessary experience over the 3 year apprenticeship
  • Responsible for attending site at the times required, with a positive & constructive attitude.
  • Responsible for striving to achieve the targets set by the Integral Supervising Operative in a safe and efficient manner.

Desired skills, experience & qualifications:

  • Ability to work carefully, methodically and safely
  • Ability to prioritise work and manage a number of tasks concurrently
  • Ability to complete tasks in an accurate and timely manner when working under pressure
  • Good written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work effectively with colleagues and other stakeholders to resolve problems
  • Organised and ability to time-manage work load
