Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are offering this fantastic opportunity within the department for applicants with an interest in Microbiology.

We are looking for individuals who are motivated and committed to being part of a team that delivers a quality service to patients.

Role:
The main duties include:
  • receipt of samples via pneumatic tube, porters, couriers
  • specimen triage
  • specimen data entry onto LIMS
  • sample labellin
Specifics: skills/experience required

You must have an interest in laboratory work and be committed to being part of a team that delivers a quality service to patients. You must be organised and methodical with high attention to detail and be prepared to handle biological materials (patient samples). Applicants are required to have a good working knowledge of Pathology and must have good keyboard skills.

For this role, you will participate in a shift system (early / late shifts) There will be a requirement to work across a 7 day working pattern 37.5 hours/week.
