Junior Interior Designer Job in Soho, London

A new Junior Interior Designer job is available in Soho, London. This is a great opportunity for a creative designer looking to develop their career within the F&B industry. The successful candidate will work on fantastic high-end projects in the UK and overseas and will benefit from a salary of £32,000.

Now entering a growth phase with expansion plans into both existing locations and new continents, our client is looking for a pragmatic Junior Interior Designer with good problem-solving skills to join their team of 14 on a permanent basis. This in-house design team is known for their bold and eclectic interior. They are currently working on projects across seven different countries and are keen to find a new team member who is passionate about all-things design to assist on all project stages!

Role & Responsibilities

  • Assisting with concept development and presentations
  • Researching new materials and finishes
  • Liaising with suppliers, ordering samples and documenting/storing within the materials library
  • Assisting with the production of design documentation
  • Ensuring correct filing procedures are administered on projects
  • Assisting with administrative tasks such as meeting minutes, meeting scheduling etc.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 1+ year’s professional experience in hospitality, F&B and/or residential design
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong freehand sketching abilities
  • Good eye for colour and materials
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to deadlines
  • Pragmatic with good problem-solving skills
  • Good initiative as well as an ability to follow instructions
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, InDesign and Microsoft Office.
