Role Overview & Responsibilities

Immediate vacancy for a Kitchen Assistant to join our team at our beautiful care home with modern kitchen in Hamilton , Scotland.

REPORTING TO: HEAD CHEF/MANAGER

JOB PURPOSE: SUPPORT THE CHEF IN SPECIFIC WORK Section

REQUIRED

• Carry out tasks quickly and competently.

DESIRED

• Care for the Elderly experience
• Highly organized
• Food hygiene qualification (training will be given)

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Preparation of basic food
• Unloading deliveries and suppliers
• Organizing the store room
• Washing kitchen appliances, work surfaces, floors and walls
• Help chefs get ready for serving food to the service users
• General prep needed for a meal

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

RESIDENCY AND ELIGIBILITY TO WORK IN THE UK

Applicants must be a British citizen, a member of the EU or other states in the EEA, a Commonwealth citizen or a foreign national free of restrictions.

Salary: £9.50 per hour

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Night shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Hamilton, ML3 9AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• Catering: 1 year (preferred)
• Cooking: 1 year (preferred)
• Kitchen experience: 1 year (preferred)
