Trainer – home care

Farnborough

We are looking for a passionate individual who loves learning and teaching to join our outstanding team in Farnborough. This is a varied role where you will engage with our existing and new care professionals delivering training as well as making sure everyone’s training is up to date. It will be a bonus if you already have experience as a trainer in a care setting or have up to date Train the Trainer certification. But we are open to all candidates, what we are looking for first and foremost is a passionate learner who is an effective trainer and communicator.


The role

You will work with our care management team to coordinate and deliver training on a wide range of subjects. The aim is to prepare our care professionals for the work they do in the field and help them be the best they can be. This will include our welcome week training for new recruits as well as other mandatory training such as Medication Administration, Moving and Positioning and other subjects we refresh our care pros on a regular basis. Some of our care managers also train on specific subjects. You will not be required to deliver all the subjects all the time but need to be able to step in if needed and coordinate with other trainers in our company as required.

  • Deliver training in our offices with our equipment including hoist, and profile bed
  • Support competency assessments and support visits in the field as and when required (e.g. clients needing hoist transfers)
  • Deliver our flagship Dementia and End of Life Training accredited by City & Guilds
  • Continually improve both the content and the range of training we provide

Requirements

  • You will be a quick learner and an effective trainer – ideally with a Train the Trainer qualification
  • Enjoy preparing and delivering training materials and know-how to others in an engaging and positive way
  • Direct experience of having worked as a care professional in care and home care sector will be a bonus
  • Real team player
  • IT savvy
  • Driver and within driving distance of the office
