Role Overview & Responsibilities

Job Summary

High Post Golf Club are looking to recruit a seasonal greenkeeper to assist with the set-up of the golf course for this coming summer season.

High Post is a classic Hawtree designed downland golf course overlooking Salisbury Plain situated five miles north of the city of Salisbury, Wiltshire. Since 1922, it has remained a popular member-owned club hosting numerous club, county, society and national events.

Our ideal candidates would possess the following skills:

• Hard working
• Excellent timekeeper and capable of 6:00 am start time
• Enjoy working outside
• An interest in golf, turf or horticulture would be desirable although not essential
• No experience necessary as full training provided

The contract will run until September and consist of approximately 40hrs per week plus every other weekend. Full training will be provided, and the successful candidates will benefit from golf privileges and other benefits.

Work schedule is Monday- Friday and include one in three weekends for just 4 hours each morning.

Responsibilities and Duties

The successful candidates will compliment a highly motivated team of green keepers and be required to perform tasks such as bunker raking, strimming, fly-mowing, hand mowing and operating a wide range of turf equipment.

Successful completion of this seasonal role could lead to a full time apprentiship offered.

Salary: £10,982.40-£26,000.00 per year
