Role Overview & Responsibilities
Purpose of the job:
Key Responsibilities:
The accurate and efficient receipt, storage, picking and despatch of stock to required schedules, so fully achieving Client and Company expectations, both in terms of quality and service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strictly adhere to current Warehouse processes and procedures as defined by the Warehouse Management team.
- To carry out general warehouse duties including, but not limited to, the following tasks after relevant training:
- Checking of inbound deliveries.
- Accurate Processing of Goods In Put Away.
- To accurately pick stock, checking descriptions, codes, versions and UOM’s match that on the relevant paperwork.
- To replenish pick and bulk locations using appropriate M.H.E. (if trained to do so)
- To accurately pack items ready for despatch ensuring that the condition of those items is not compromised.
- To input data into various Courier systems following specific training.
- To assist in the accurate loading and despatching of outbound goods.
- To accurately complete all paperwork associated with the current task.
- Ensure a high level of housekeeping is maintained at all times. To carry out various housekeeping tasks as defined by your line manager.
- To at all times comply with Health and Safety regulations, both Company and Statutory.
- To carry out any other duties deemed reasonable to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Team
- Must be literate, numerate and have a good level of written and oral communication skills.
- Must be able to accurately follow all forms of Instructions/Guidelines
- Be a team player who is able to work closely with peers and also confident in working under their own initiative
- Works flexibly – capable of effectively using a full range of the skills required within the team.
- Conscientious, self- disciplined with good attention to detail.
- Maintain a reasonable dress code, incorporating the required PPE.
- Be reliable with good timekeeping skills.
