Role Overview & Responsibilities

HR Director

Our client, a leading utilities contracting business that provides telecoms and HV electrical services in the UK, is seeking an experienced HR Director to lead their HR function. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and growing business, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s HR strategy and driving its future success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in line with business objectives.
  • Provide guidance and support to senior management on HR matters, including employee relations, performance management, and recruitment.
  • Oversee the recruitment process to ensure that the business is attracting the best talent.
  • Develop and implement training and development plans to support the personal and professional growth of the workforce.
  • Ensure that the company is compliant with all relevant employment legislation and regulations.
  • Implement and manage HR information systems to streamline HR processes.
  • Manage relationships with subcontractors to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an HR Director, ideally within the utilities or construction industry.
  • A strong understanding of employment legislation and regulations.
  • Experience of developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience of managing a team.
  • A degree in HR or a related field is preferred.
