Electrician Night Shift - Castleford
Role Overview & Responsibilities
Our Electricians are critical to the smooth running of our Operations. Providing comprehensive knowledge and technical expertise. Working Hours:
41 hours per week Sunday to Thursday

Our mix that awaits you:
Installation/Maintenance of machinery/equipment in accordance with Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, IEE 18th Edition Electrical Regulations, The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 plus any other specific standard deemed appropriate to task being undertaken- To follow set procedures for permit to work, job recording, fire alarm muting, Health & Safety and Hygiene set systems of work
- Programming/diagnostics monitoring of PLC controlled systems
- To maintain all machinery to the standard expected within a food environment
- The continuous improvement of all production/packaging machinery
- Preventative maintenance and breakdown maintenance
- The construction and installation of electrical control panels and systems
- Fault diagnostics and repair of existing systems/equipment
- Maintaining electrical services throughout the factory and offices
- Understanding and complying with the requirements of the Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and the Environmental Permit to the extent it affects your role
Ingredients that you bring with you:
- Previous installation and commissioning work experience – essential
- Extensive PLC experience – highly desirable
- Breakdown and fault-finding experience – desirable
- Fully completed Apprenticeship – essential
- Multi-skilled – desirable
- Previous food manufacturing experience – preferred
- Qualified to IEE 18th Edition Electrical Regulations
