Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are on the look out for a HR Generalist to join our friendly team, strong ER case management experience is a must have and experience in a retail environment would also be beneficial.

The main focus of this role is to support the People team to maintain best practice under recruitment & selection, employee relations, learning and development, and employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Employee Relations

· Advise retail management to support them to complete probation review meetings, investigations, disciplinaries, short-term and long-term absence management, welfare meetings, AWOL, performance management, flexible working requests, grievances and redundancies.

· Advise on appeals, restructures, redundancy and TUPE, escalating to Head of HR where necessary.

· Support the Head of HR to improve and update all HR tools including training documents, forms, and guidelines.

· Support with the annual audit of all HR tools, policies and the Employee Handbook.

· Maintain and update the employee relations tracker

· Deliver HR training workshops to store management.

· Creation of monthly reporting in relation to ER case work

· Creation of detailed Case Reports sharing learnings with the business.

Recruitment & Selection

· Support with recruitment and selection for retail management and support centre roles.

Payroll / Compensation & Benefits

· Supporting payroll activity during peak periods and seasonal recruitment and any ad-hoc support needed from the Payroll Supervisor.

· Updating the HR changes log to accurately reflect any new starters, leavers, absences or changes.

· Support the annual pay review process and offer input on bench marking exercises

Employee Engagement / Well-being

· Oversee and improve the exit interview process to ensure feedback is receivedand analysed.

· Offer suggestions and solutions to any common themes identified through the feedback received.

Health & Safety

· Support in Health and Safety compliance across the business utilising the Atlas platform

· Ensure the maintenance of the HR Templates section of the store drive, ensuring all documents required by retail management are up to date and available.

· Support Health and Safety compliance and assist risk management plans
