Role Overview & Responsibilities

Are you an experienced Maintenance Technician? Or are you looking to steer your career in that direction but not quite sure where to start and if you are skilled enough? Does the opportunity of providing multi-skilled service for one of our fashion retailer logistic sites excite you?

We are currently on the lookout for a Maintenance Technician to join us on a full-time, permanent basis at our River Island site in Milton Keynes. Most of your time, you will work a Monday to Friday shift pattern of 08:00 – 16:00 but you will also need to have a flexible approach as you will be expected to cover call out every 1 week in 3 (call out covers Monday - Friday, 16:00 - 08:00, and 24 hours over the weekend).

Pay, benefits and more:

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £25,188 per annum plus a call out rate and an attractive overtime rate should you need to stay longer on the call out. In addition, we offer 28 days annual leave (including bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. You’ll have access to a variety of high street discounts, as well as a cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension, and many other perks.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

· Fault-finding, repairs and maintenance of all mechanical and electrical equipment on site such as parcel sorter, ensuring the continuous maintenance of the equipment and overall uptime of the operation

· Carry out small projects and repairs around the site, including plumbing, decorating, small electrical works, or MHE maintenance

· Accurate completion of maintenance reports and inspection records

· Identify and progress continuous improvement opportunities within the department and across all areas of the operation, enhancing the service to our customer

What you need to succeed at GXO:

· A flexible approach is a must, as you’ll be on call during the week and weekends

· Ability to prioritise the work and work on own initiative

· Experience working in a similar role would be advantageous, but we will consider those from other backgrounds

· A team player with a good level of IT skills, we work hard so we need you to do so too!

We engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains.
