Role Overview & Responsibilities

You will be a key player in connecting people and places, acting as an integral part of the local community and making a difference to thousands of people’s lives across Greater Manchester.

We're always looking for the friendliest, most outgoing, hard-working, team-playing, down-to-earth people to become bus drivers here at Go North West.

Whether you've already got a licence to drive a bus or you're a complete newbie to the profession, we want to hear from you. We are looking for people with a positive 'can do' attitude, who have good communication skills and the natural ability to deliver first class customer service, to a diverse range of customers.

If you already hold a PCV licence, great! After your interview and medical, we'll fast track you through our Driver Academy and you'll be on the road with us in no time.

And if you can't drive a bus already, don't worry - we'll put take you through each of the steps to get your licence when you join our Driver Academy.

All you need is a full UK driving licence with no more than 3 points and the relevant right to work in the UK documents.

As a new driver, you'll earn an industry-leading rate of £11.04 per hour in your first year. If you're already qualified, you'll start straight away on £13.82 per hour, rising to £15.67 for work on Sundays.
