Role Overview & Responsibilities

Are you a logical thinker with a passion for problem solving? Do you have a degree in engineering, product design, or a related field? Our start-up company is seeking a talented Design Engineer to join our team and help us build cutting-edge machinery and infrastructure.

As our Design Engineer, you'll be responsible for the end-to-end project process, from initial design to order and build. You'll need to be highly competent in 3D modelling using CAD packages and have experience with SolidWorks for detailed mechanical design.

We're looking for a hands-on Design Engineer with a willingness to get stuck in and a meticulous, detail-oriented approach. You leave nothing to chance and explore all avenues when designing solutions. As part of this, you'll define and manage project deliverables to deadlines and take medium-term ownership of your own projects.

Excellent communication skills are a must for this role. You'll need to be able to quickly grasp, distil, and explain complex concepts to a variety of stakeholders, including clients and colleagues.

In summary, we're seeking a talented Design Engineer with:

• A degree in engineering, product design, or similar
• High competence in 3D modelling using CAD packages
• A willingness to get stuck in and a hands-on attitude
• A logical thinker with a love of problem solving
• Excellent communication skills with an ability to quickly grasp, distil and explain complex concepts
• Meticulous and detail-oriented - you leave nothing to chance and explore all avenues when designing solutions
• A role in the end-to-end project process, from design to order and build of new machinery and infrastructure
• Defined and managed project deliverables to deadlines
• Medium-term ownership of your own projects
• Experience carrying out detailed mechanical design on SolidWorks

Salary: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
