Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are a wood restoration company looking for an experienced estimator to perform field inspections and estimates on insurance claims, with the ability to go the next step and turn those estimates into approved jobs. We currently have great insurance company relationships, which provide a steady stream of inspection requests. We also service the commercial sector and get requests for image enhancement, color changes or restoration of wood surfaces like conference tables, desks, elevator cabs, and other wood office furniture.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and estimate repairs for fire and water damage claims to residential cabinetry as well as cabinet removal services
• Develop and maintain excellent relationships with claims representatives and insureds
• Develop and maintain relationships with commercial customers
• Follow up on estimates to obtain job approvals
• Maintain regular communication with clients regarding status of each project
• Maintain customer relations by making sure customers are satisfied and have no complaints.

Knowledge/Skills

• Experience estimating jobs related to cabinet building/repairs, or within the Cabinet Fabrication, Mitigation, Construction, and Insurance Industries
• Experience responding to Commercial customers
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to work well with others.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Technical knowledge of woodworking and wood restoration processes beneficial, but not required
• Interpersonal skills - ability to build relationships
• Strong professional, confidence-inspiring presence and business style
• Self-starter with a solid work ethic, self-discipline, and persistence
• Local Bay Area travel is required; company vehicles are available for driving to customer sites.
• Valid California Drivers License is required

As a preferred vendor, we provide an essential service to our customers by restoring their kitchens and homes to pre-loss condition.
