Purpose of post

We are searching for a qualified Manager that can work through the school holidays (Excluding Christmas) in a holiday club for young people aged between 3 - 12 years.

Leading a team of dedicated, hardworking staff, the Manager will maintain and ensure that a high standard of care is given for all children in the club.

Main duties include:

Providing comprehensive care for the children including meeting & communicating with parents / care givers at the start and end of each day.

Responsible for the day-to-day running of the club monitoring & maintaining a healthy, safe and secure working environment.

Developing & maintaining good communication with all staff of the club, the school and especially with parents.

Signing in children on the register as they arrive

Supervise children effectively to ensure they are safe

Provide support, guidance and leadership to the team to follow and implement the early year’s foundation stage.

Setting up the club to create a safe and secure play environment ready for when children arrive

To be aware of and act in accordance with current statutory legislation, good practice, club policies & procedures.

To follow all relevant Acts including the equality Act 2010, the Data Protection Act 1998 relating to staff employment and record keeping.

Provide refreshments & ensuring that hygiene, health, and safety standards are continually met ensuring best practice is met at all times.

Administration & record keeping, including staff & child records.

Undertaking appropriate & relevant training.

First Aid desirable

Working within the framework of the club's policies and procedures, and the early years Foundation Stage.

Any other duties as commensurate within the role in order to ensure the smooth running of the club.

Salary – To be discussed – Dependent upon experience.

Job Types: Fixed term contract, Zero hours contract

Salary: Up to £12.00 per hour
