    Freefolk are hiring a talented Asset Artist to join our Film and Episodic team on an exciting new project starting soon! We operate a hybrid working model in our brand new East London office, but are open to candidates based remotely in Europe also.

    Celebrating 20 years, we are a team of Emmy-winning creative artists, technicians, producers and problem solvers who use post-production as their toolbox. Working closely with clients in the advertising, film, TV and music industries, we provide a full-service post-production and VFX offering including high-end colour grading, 2D & 3D visual effects, shoot supervision, animation, design, direction and concept. At Freefolk, we're a tight-knit community and proud of both our reputation of doing great work but also being a great place to work.

    Responsibilities:

    • Creating models from a brief or reference material provided these can be a mixture of organic or hard surface objects
    • Provide efficient UV maps on the models as required for the project
    • Create textures for assets to specifications required
    • Create shaders for assets in lookdev
    • Present to the asset to leads and supervisors for reviews
    • Staying on schedule and meeting set deadlines while maintaining the highest levels of quality.
    • Continue to become familiar with new tools, software, data and other related technology

    Essential Skills

    • Strong polygonal subdivision modelling skills
    • Good knowledge of Maya and the Arnold Renderer / Redshift
    • Knowledge of zbrush / mudbox desirable
    • Excellent knowledge of texturing software Mari/Photoshop/ Substance
    • Must have a strong artistic and visual sense of composition, light and colour.
    • Basic knowledge of Nuke Compositing
    • Excellent organisation, communication and interpersonal skills
    • Creative problem-solving and attention to detail
    • Able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality results
