Shop Helper, Maintenance

Role Overview & Responsibilities

DESCRIPTION:

• Assist Maintenance technicians with general maintenance and machinery repair. As well as basic janitorial duties of shop floor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Responsible for general housekeeping of shop floor and areas around CNC Production Machinery
• Maintain Coolant/Oil and Parts inventory on site
• Complete all scheduled Monthly PM’s w/ Maintenance technicians (Coolant Changes/ CNC Machine Monthly PM’s)
• Responsible for Chip debris/Liquid Waste consolidation and disposal/offloads. (Forklift experience a plus but not required)
• Maintain Hazardous Waste Checklist and submit to EHS monthly
• Responsible for maintaining all trash receptacles on site daily
• Perform additional related duties as assigned from Production Supervisors w/ Maintenance Manager's approval/training
• Data entry of work orders completed (Intermediate experience w/ Microsoft Excel/Word doc required)

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• 0-2 years previous janitorial experience preferred
• Ability to speak and understand basic English communication
• Ability to read and write in English
• Ability to comprehend and follow basic direction and instructions

PHYSICAL DEMANDS WHILE PERFORMING THE JOB:

• Stand, walk, push, reach overhead, and bend to floor

WORKING ENVIRONMENT OF THE JOB:

• High noise levels from operation machines
• Physical hazards from moving equipment and supplies in shop area
• Working in the removal of trash and cleaning of shop floor

Salary Rang $18.50- $20 20.77

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $18.50 - $20.77 per hour
