Security Officer - Student Accommodation

Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are seeking a Security Officer for a modern student accommodation for an immediate start in READING, RG1.

Night shifts on a 4 on 4 off basis. £11.53 per hour.

The successful candidate will have a valid front line SIA licence, a friendly demeanour and excellent communication skills.

The role is to provide a safe and secure environment for student accommodation in Reading.

Job description

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Night shifts - 4 on 4 off.
• Must be computer literate.
• Maintaining a safe and secure environment & ensure safe access to buildings at all times.
• Carrying out patrols/hazard reporting etc as requested.
• Ensuring all Health & Safety policies are adhered to.
• Completing all necessary reports in line with company documentation.
• Access / Egress control.
• Monitoring of alarms & CCTV system.
• Key Holding responsibilities.
• Controlling and monitoring access to the carparks.
• Adhering to policies and procedures at all times.
• General refuse management & ensuring overall tidiness on site.
• Provide a high standard of customer service.
• Be polite, helpful, and diligent, with a ‘can do’ ethos.
• Have a calm personality capable of controlling difficult situations.

Nights on a 4 on 4 off basis

• Mon-Thurs 22:00-09:00
• Friday 22:00-07:00
• Sat 19:00-07:00
• Sun 19:00-09:00

Essential Requirements:

• Valid SIA Licence.
• Commitment to providing first class customer service.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Fully comprehensive 5-year work/education history.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Reliability.
• Punctuality.
