MS322 - Transit Driver

Location: Swindon, Wiltshire

Salary: £11 per hour

Overview: First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a transit driver to join a growing and successful company located in Swindon. This position has the responsibility of driving to customer sites across the region, collecting ‘clean’ recycling and returning to depot for processing.

This role is working Monday - Friday, roughly 8am - 5pm. This is a hybrid role, you will be driving 90% of the time & working within the warehouse for 10% of the time.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Driving to client sites and collecting ‘clean’ recycling, returning to depot to processing.
• Ensure all daily client work orders are filled upon receipt from Client Service.
• Interact with our valued customers during delivery runs.
• Ensure rush work orders are processed timely and accurately.
• Help unload/load trucks/vans.
• Operate pallet trucks.
• Complete daily paperwork.
• Verify and load all orders as per SOP’s.
• Complete daily safety inspection of assigned vehicle.
• Routine pushing and pulling boxes and pallet jacks.
• Routine scanning of materials.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Previous experience of working in a Multi Drop operation service delivery role, preferably within the records management industry, however not essential.
• Although not a particularly physical role, candidates are required to move boxes weighing up to 16kg boxes.
• Candidates must be smart in appearance as this is a customer facing role.
• Ability to operate pallet truck, however training will be given.
• Punctuality and attention to detail are essential.
