Role Overview & Responsibilities

Who are we?

We are Wiltshire's largest independent bus operator. With a fleet of 60 vehicles we provide bus services across North and West Wiltshire and in Bath. We operate scheduled service work, both commercially and contracted Council services along with home to school transport.

Where are we based?

We are based in Chippenham and the majority of our services run from our Bumpers Farm depot. However we also have outstations based near Melksham, Devizes, Trowbridge and Frome.

What positions do you have available?

We have both full and part time positions available. Full-time staff generally work 5 weekdays and Saturdays on a rota basis - a day off in the week is available when working a Saturday. However we also have part time positions available for applicants who may wish to do less days each week. We are also recruiting for staff who may only be available to cover weekend work.

What are your rates of pay?

Basic weekday rate - £13 per hour*

Weekday late rate - £15.80 per hour* (duties finishing after 8pm)

Basic weekend rate - £15 per hour*

Weekend late rate - £17.00 per hour* (duties finishing after 8pm)

Average rate of pay for 5 day week including Saturday - £13.40 per hour basic, £16.04 per hour late.

* rates effective from 28th February.

What vehicles do you run?

Our fleets comprises of Optare Solos, Enviro 200s and Volvo B9/B5s. The Optares are generally used on our contracted services serving rural areas and the Enviro and Volvo on our commercial inter-urban services.

What qualifications are required?

Applicants must hold PCV Category D licence and current DCPC

Part-time hours: 20-60 per week

Salary: £13.00-£17.00 per hour
