Health & Safety Officer

Role Overview & Responsibilities

We have an exciting new role that would suit an experienced, qualified Health & Safety Officer looking to work 1 to 2 days a month. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, as Falcon Coaches ‘Health & Safety Officer’ you will have sole responsibility for all aspects of Health & Safety within the business. It will be your job to ensure that we are compliant with the ‘Health & Safety At Work’ act and transport legislation to ensure a safe working environment, work practices and equipment.

We require you to be NEBOSH qualified or equivalent and able to provide relevant experience of a similar role within the transport industry.

Job description – You will be expected to:

• Support our Managers to develop and review safe working systems and practices to ensure the business complies with legislative and HSE requirements.
• To take charge of all risk assessments and ensure that Department Managers communicate Health & Safety updates to all employees
• Train employees on Health and Safety matters
• Investigate any incidents relating to Health & Safety and report directly to the Managing Director.
• Carry out regular site inspections and make appropriate changes to work practices to ensure compliance.
• To communicating company-wide Health & Safety issues to the relevant teams.

Salary is negotiable and hours may vary depending on the needs of the business.
