The role that we are looking to recruit for is a Supervisor to join the VXO crossover team. We are looking for an experienced supervisor in Highways Maintenance. The candidate will need to be comfortable working in a fast paced, challenging environment with demanding targets. We are looking for someone with an excellent safety culture, a problem solver and a person who is flexible and able to adapt to a changing environment. Knowledge of working on a highways contract with a main contractor is essential and be able to work on own initiative.
Key Responsibilities;
•Planning and Programming the VXO works including liaising with the road space team
•Responsibility for site safety of the works team involved in the construction process and HSE processes arefollowed
•Monitoring the quality of workmanship
•Liaise with customers and HCC representative
•Participation in the Winter and Emergency Service as needed
•Manage a team of subcontractors on site
• Liaise with the permits team to get permits approved in relation to certain works
Ideal Candidate;
•Valid driving licence (HGV Class 2 would be beneficial)
•SSSTS CITB accreditation would be advantageous
•Lantra 12D T7 accreditation or NRWSA supervisor
•Knowledge of working on highways is essential
