Brief job description:

Estio Training have an exciting new opportunity for a Cyber Threat intelligence Apprentice with DarkInvader, a Cyber Threat Intelligence Platform in Leeds.

Job Description:

We are looking for highly motivated, self-driven, dedicated to making a difference in security by protecting organisation against attackers in the world by keeping ahead of emerging threats. Our DarkInvader Research team offers opportunities to expand your skill set through a wide variety of experiences, detecting, and responding to threats as they occur in real-time to protect our customers.

Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:

  • Perform initial triage and analysis of Open-source intelligence (OSINT) and respond to customer requests and queries.
  • Manage the DarkInvader Threat Portal providing value to clients through providing intelligence.
  • Assist in threat hunting processes across Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms.
  • Perform basic analysis of Indicators of Compromise or malicious activity relating to clients keep up to date with the latest adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs)
  • Produce high-quality written and verbal communications, recommendations, and findings to customer management.

Qualifications:

  • 5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Math’s)

Skills Required:

  • Good all-round technical knowledge.
  • A willingness to keep up with the latest Industry trends.

Personal qualities:

  • Good all-round technical knowledge and a detailed understanding of networking protocols.
  • Good all-round technical knowledge of information security concepts.
  • A passion for IT and Cyber security/Cyber Threat Intelligence.

Future prospects:

The role offers a permanent role upon completion of the apprenticeship depending on performance.

Training to be provided:

Estio apprenticeship training programmes are delivered virtually by our fully qualified and industry experienced training team. Using their expert knowledge, we’ve purposefully built our programmes around the real-world use of modern technology, so that the skills we create can be directly applied in the workplace.

Throughout the apprenticeship learners receive coaching, help and guidance from a dedicated team who are there to ensure they get the most from their work experience.

Successful completion of this apprenticeship gives you an accredited Level 4 Cyber Security Technologist, with training in how to:

  • Discover potential vulnerabilities, threats and hazards in your systems, services and processes.
  • Develop security designs and configure, deploy and use appropriate cyber security technology to protect your business.
  • Identify, Analyse and develop security cases to defend against potential threats.
  • Write program code or scripts to meet a given design requirement that improves your cyber security.
  • Understand latest attack techniques and recommend ways to defend against them.
