Role Overview & Responsibilities

Live in carer for elderly lady with dementia

Reporting to the registered manager

Responsibilities

Support with personal care

Medication support.

Managing diet to keep diabetes controlled.

Monitoring and supporting with dementia symptoms (currently mild).

Documentation and maintenance of confidentiality.

Meal support

Light housework

Work Experience

Experience with caring for clients with dementia.

Ability to work alone.

Medication administration

Documentation

Diabetes awareness

Skills and Certificates

Dementia awareness/training

Medication administration course

Care certification
