Role Overview & Responsibilities

Set high on the dramatic cliffs of North Cornwall, Tintagel Castle is one of our most significant and popular properties and welcomes over 250,000 visitors every year. The Retail Manager will be a positive role model driving our retail performance, exceeding targets and ensuring the team provide exceptional customer service to all visitors and generate the revenue needed to support this exceptional site.

As Retail Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of the retail operation at Tintagel Castle; from leading, enthusing and motivating the team on the ground within our retail outlet, ordering through to delivery processing, sales analysis, merchandising and everything inbetween!

You will be joining the management team at Tintagel Castle and will be supported by the territory Retail Support Manager in the West. Our expectations are high and you will be an intrinsic part of the team increasing our financial contribution to the charity by generating income through retail activities on site, including the creation, development and implementation of new ideas and opportunities in line with the retail strategy.

Stories and people are our passion and you will lead, coach and motivate our site retail team to deliver the unique story of Tintagel Castle through the items we sell, ensuring the highest levels of customer service, presentation and visual merchandising.
