Personal Assistant/Support Worker - Galashiels - 2058

Role Overview & Responsibilities

I am a gentleman who lives in Galashiels with my wife. I’m looking for a PA(s) to help with double ups 4 times per day to transfer me due to poor mobility and unsteadiness. Working every alternate weekend; starting from Saturday the 13th and Sunday 14th May. Ideally willing to cover holidays/sickness when needed.

Main tasks and responsibilities

· Assist with transfer to commode/continence care

· Assist with strip wash, drying ,dressing, oral care

· Assist with dressing and putting on footwear

· Assist with toileting

· Assist with getting ready for bed time/transfer into bed

· Practical and a good communicator

· Trustworthy and reliable

Hours of work (Flexible)

· Alternate Saturday & Sundays;

Morning – 8.00am till 9.00am for 1 hour

Lunchtime - around 12.15pm till 2.00pm for 1 hour 45

Teatime - around 5.00pm till 5.30pm for 30 minutes

Bedtime - around 8.30pm till 9.30pm for 1 hour

Times can be discussed with suitable candidates

The terms

· £14.00 to £16.00 per hour depending on experience

· Mileage negotiable

· 5.6 weeks annual leave on a pro rata basis

· PVG/References required
