Role Overview & Responsibilities

Elements Europe has successfully positioned itself, as one of the leading organisations in the UK’s off-site manufacturing and construction market; having an enviable portfolio of projects across hotels, residential and student accommodation.

Following substantial investment by leading global construction firm, GS Engineering & Construction (GS E&C), Elements Europe have a number of large projects in the pipeline and is looking to scale up the delivery capability with immediate effect.

Job Title: Wall and Floor Tiler

Level: Employee

Department: Production

Reports to: Team Leader and Production Supervisor

Direct Reports: None

Salary: £15.75 per hour

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Measuring and cutting a variety of tiles, for Bathroom pods and Modular pods
• Mixing and grouting to a variety of specifications
• Following a plan, from technical drawings, in order to tile to specific requirements from the customer
• Using spacers within the corners of tile work
• Ensuring that all targets are met, to maintain scheduled manufacturing
• Report all quality/design problems to the Production Supervisor
• Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with the requirements of Health and Safety and other relevant legislation in addition to Elements Europe Risk Assessment and Procedures
• Ensure that all works are manufactured in accordance with Elements Europe drawings and specifications
• Ensure housekeeping standards are kept at the level required
• Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with Elements Europe quality systems and checks

Experience and Knowledge required:

• Previous experience as a tiler at a professional level
• Tiler Certificate (NVQ Level 2 or Equivalent)
• Use of tools e.g. tile cutters, nippers and manual and powered grinders
• Working at Height training certificate
• Must have a high level of experience working with technical drawings
• Be able to work at height e.g. using steps and A-frame ladders
• High level of attention to detail
• Strong team player
• Ability to take direction and to ask questions if unsure
• Punctual and reliable
