Operations Manager

Role Overview & Responsibilities

Duranta Teesside Ltd is a leading Anaerobic Digestion facility based in Middlesbrough.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Operations Manager will oversee two of the sites in Middlesbrough.

With excellent communication and a high level of man-management skills, the role will successfully manage the AD plants and a team of Multi-Skilled Operators. This will include feedstock deliveries, plant feeding and biology, generation of electricity and gas export as well as managing equipment maintenance and operation.

• Working collaboratively with the Engineering and Project Manager, the role will ensure the safe and cost-effective maintenance of the site and ensure that effective planned preventative maintenance and reactive repair systems are in place.
• Plan feedstock requirements for the plant, ensuring enough waste deliveries to optimise generation and profitability.
• Ensure that all site processes comply with the applicable accreditations and regulations.
• Manage the training and development of all direct reports.
• Develop and implement strategic plans and budgets.
• Update and improve SCADA system.

This role is an important one for us and key to the Company’s ongoing success. With a high business acumen and a sound understanding of Operational management, the successful candidate will have significant AD experience and be a qualified Engineer. Strong organisational and presentation skills are a must as well as being PC literate.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £55,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
