Role Overview & Responsibilities
- Acts as a point of contact for all levels of hospital staff and outside agencies.
- Provide both general administrative support and clinic prep and follow up support
- Provide secretarial support at various meetings; produce agenda and minutes.
- To provide general administrative support to the Head of Department (to include management of personnel files and diary management), Service Manager, Consultants and members of the multi-disciplinary team.
- Assists in the achievement of Departmental Objectives.
- To provide administrative support, when necessary, to the wider Pathology Department.
- To provide, where necessary, support with organising Familial Hypercholesterolaemia clinics and the relevant letters to the patients.
- Answer the Departmental telephone and deal with queries and redirect calls internally as appropriate.
- Acts as a point of contact for all levels of hospital staff and outside agencies.
- Provide support with photocopying and scanning
- Provide secretarial support at various meetings; produce agenda and minutes.
- To provide general administrative support to the Head of Department (to include management of personnel files and diary management), Service Manager, Consultants and members of the multi-disciplinary team.
- Assists in the achievement of Departmental Objectives.
- Ordering of stationery and laboratory supplies.
- To provide cover for members of the secretarial/administration team during periods of leave or absence.
- Provide support with inputting over-time claims and sickness onto Healthroster.
- To provide administrative support, when necessary, to the wider Pathology Department.
- To provide, where necessary, support with organising Familial hypercholesterolaemia clinics and the relevant letters to the patients.
- Entry of referral results into the laboratory information system
