Software Developer

Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are looking for a full-time position based in our Head Office in Liphook/Hindhead as an in-house software developer.

The role would be based on the development of our own custom CMS, EPOS & E-Commerce software. This would include new developments & maintenance of the system and ensuring good uptime & security too. You will be managed by the in-house technical coordinator, and guided by the previous software developer; both of whom will guide you through both the software and the technologies surrounding it.

Minimum Requirements:

- 5 GCSE’s grade 5/C and above. College Diploma or A-Levels.

- Ability to commute to our Hindhead Office or relocate to a local office.

- Knowledge of key Computer Science and Software Development concepts, such as:

- Encryption and security

- Basic algorithms and logic

- Problem-solving skills

Previous programming history/experience, mainly with the following languages & software:

- Svelte & SvelteKit

- HTML, JavaScript, and CSS

- SQL

- Prisma and/or other similar ORMs

Personal Qualities/Requirements:

- Punctual

- Motivated & determined to learn & explore new IT services.

- Good Communication

- Reliable

- Personable

Working Day, Pay & Benefits:

37.5 hours a week; Monday-Friday 9:00 am-5:00 pm with a 30-minute lunch break.

Starting salary of £18k - £30k / yr.

Commission for meeting targets & deadlines.

Level 3 and 4 Apprenticeships are available.
