Location: Central York (close to St Johns University)

Hours of work:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday Saturday 10am-12pm Sunday 5.30pm-7.30pm

(Additional hours may be available for the right person)

Rate of pay: £12.00 per hour

This job is to support a lady who has schizophrenia and is registered blind but has some useful vision. Before she became unwell she had a full and active life. She likes to go out for a coffee to small tea rooms and small garden centres. She also likes to listen to the radio for short periods.

We are looking for a PA to join our existing support team to assist her with domestic tasks and enable her to participate in activities outside her home. She needs someone who can distract her thoughts with conversation and humour. We would like someone who can go and support her in the home but who could also be on call on the telephone at agreed times.
