Design 44 has been established for 8 years and is one of the best design led gift and lifestyle stores in the East Midlands. With the latest trends within the gift industry and forward thinking and creative approaches to their stores decor and layout, there main aim is to provide the best products and services from small brands on the high street.

Design 44 supports over 80 small local designer/makers and small brands and give these brands the opportunity to sell their products on the high street within the store.

Job Description:

We are looking for a highly driven, creative, forward thinking retail assistant to work in our Trentham Gardens Store.

The ideal candidate would be based at our Trentham Gardens Store and will be available to work SUNDAYS although extra is available if required to cover holidays and do an extra in busy times in Summer and Christmas.

Think you have what it takes?

We are looking for someone who has a minimum of 2 years’ experience in retail and be flexible and must have worked in this field.

You must be able to provide excellent customer service and undertake replenishment and merchandising duties to help the store and designers achieve sales and profit targets.

We are looking for a good all-rounder that doesn’t mind helping with all the duties that are involved with running a small business.

You will be reporting to the manager/Supervisor and also be able to open a small store on your own aswell as working with a small team.

The perfect candidate would be a confident and creative individual that pushes sales and uses initiative at all times aswell as following Design 44 shop procedures and guidelines already implemented. Must be flexible to cover holidays and illnesses as required.

Job Role:

- Ability to provide excellent customer service

- Dealing with orders and putting stock out

- Dealing with customer queries

- Visual merchandising

- Promoting products in store

- Supporting 50+ designers

- opening/closing the store

Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 6 per week

Salary: £8.95-£10.50 per hour
