Poultry Farm Worker

Role Overview & Responsibilities

FLEXIBLE WORKING HOURS

We are a family farming business with our poultry egg laying farms based on sites in Shropshire.

As a family business we operate with family values towards each of our employees.

You will be helping to care for our barn and free-range hens across our sites, under the instructions of the farm manager. Duties will include:

• 1. Perform daily welfare inspections of poultry for signs of disease or injury
• 2. Follow instructions for proper feed and water management
• 3. Collect floor eggs
• 4. Add and maintain enrichment (chicken toys, bales, straw & pecking blocks)
• 5. Manage poultry litter
• 6. Maintain a clean and sanitary working environment

Successful candidates will:

• Have a positive, can-do attitude to work
• Be observant with an eye for detail
• A willingness to learn and follow instructions
• Excellent timekeeping and attendance
• Their own transport due to location

Working hours:

• Part Time: 9am – 2.30pm
• Full Time: 7am - 4pm

Weekend work will be required.

No experience necessary, full training will be given.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 20-30 per week

Salary: £11.00 per hour
