Data Engineer

London – Hybrid

£65k / £75k basic + Bonus / Benefits

TECH STACK: Python, SQL, Bash, Hadoop, Spark, Docker / Kubernetes, GCP

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Data Engineer to join one of the worlds leading Media Technology brands, you will join one of their growing teams and focus on the automation of a number of their key projects.

ABOUT THE COMPANY

This business is a household name in the UK and their products and services are used by millions of people each day. They have recently completed a major migration project to a new cloud data environment and they are looking to scale out one of their engineering functions.

ABOUT THE ROLE

In this role you will join one of their growing engineering teams and you will be involved on the automation of business critical projects. This is a highly technical role and you will have the opportunity to work with various stakeholders across the business.

Key things you will be responsible for are:

· Working on critical automation projects

· Have input to their SDLC process and the development of this

· Developing various internal systems

· Improving / optimising their code

· Work cross functionally with internal teams

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

To be considered you MUST have experience in the following:

· Bachelor’s degree in a STEM subject

· Industry experience working on the development and deployment of pipelines

· Skilled with: Python, SQL, Bash

· Experience working on solutions in the cloud

· Strong communication skills
