Cloud Engineer (remote in London/UK)

Based in London, England - this role is for a global leader in IoT solutions and management capabilities, and is consistently recognized highly in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Machine-to-Machine Services worldwide.

Role: Cloud Engineer
Duration: 12 months
Work site: Remote
Candidate location: We prefer candidates local to greater London but anywhere in the UK is ok
Travel: Occasional meetings onsite may be required. 99% of the work will be remote
Projects: The primary focus will be supporting AWS & GCP projects.

Job Description:

Focus is providing stable, scalable, and robust infrastructure for the firm while supporting the strategy of our integrated engineering solutions.

• Dynamic Routing
• Cisco Fortinet Knowledge
• Teraform - Infrast as code
• Develop networking solutions for IaaS/SaaS/PaaS applications that reside in private cloud, public cloud or both.
• Understand the 'big picture' to develop solutions that will integrate smoothly, provide high availability and follow standards and security policy.
• Work with application engineering, devops, operations and clients to identify connectivity requirements. Understand end to end network traffic flows.
• Design and deploy network solutions for integrated on-prem application functions with cloud application functions.
• Develop and document new standards for network deployments.
• Work independently, plan your work, lead networking discussions with other teams, vendors and clients
• Provide leadership and coaching for deployment teams and network operations
• Designing data and applications architecture
• Identifying and implementing automation tools
• Monitoring tasks within the cloud structure
• Creating and maintaining documentation
• Supporting the implementation of security standards
• Communicating with clients to understand their needs

C2C Rate: USD60-70 per hour or GBP 400 to 450 per day. These are C2C rates
Candidate location: We prefer candidates local to greater London but anywhere in the UK is ok.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: £450.00-£500.00 per day
