Farm Manager Breeder/ Rearing

Role Overview & Responsibilities

Crown Chicken Ltd (part of Cranswick PLC) is looking for a committed and experienced Breeder Farm Manager to run a bird unit. A competitive remuneration package will be offered, with a house or housing allowance. This is offered rent free and Council tax paid by the company in the Attleborough/Wymondham, Norfolk area

Shift pattern : Working 6 days out of 7 - 45 hours weekly

Duties:

• Manage the farm to ensure that bird welfare is never compromised
• Manage and monitor ventilation, heating, feed, water, litter and lighting within the agreed standards, ensuring the highest quality conditions are provided.
• Communicate with the Area Farm Manager ensuring that information is provided promptly and accurately.
• Manage and control Visitors/Contractors on site ensuring that work is carried out to required specification and quality and work is carried out in a safe manner.
• Ensure compliance with Red Tractor Assurance Scheme

What you will need:

• Literate / Numerate for documentation recording
• Experience in farming and or poultry at Manager/Assistant Farm Manager level is desirable
• Flexible approach to working hours

Salary and benefits:

• Salary: circa £32000-33750
