Role Overview & Responsibilities

Part of the International Finance Team headed by Ryan Carson (International CFO). The role is part of the European Finance team, more specifically the Group Finance team that supports our Enterprise Product and Technology teams.


Reporting to the Finance Business Partner – Product & Technology, you will be working within a small team, providing accounting, financial, analytical, and commercial support to the Finance Teams and the Product & Technology leadership teams including:

  • Accounting:
    • Accurate and timely recognition of costs including supporting monthly accruals and prepayments
    • Accurate and timely recharging of enterprise costs to business unit P&Ls
    • Contributing to monthly and quarterly Balance Sheet reconciliation processes
  • Financial Planning and Analysis
    • Maintain and operate financial models
    • Prepare regular and adhoc analysis to provide insight and support decision making
    • Contribute to the monthly forecasting process
    • Contribute to the annual business planning cycle (budgets)

The role is ideal for a trainee accountant or analyst and will increase in scope, responsibility and exposure to senior management over time.


Objectives for Role:

Key objectives and deliverables this role is accountable for:

  • Monthly management accounts – leverage existing systems, processes and people to ensure supplier costs are captured and accruals / prepayments maintained appropriately
  • Monthly management reporting pack – prepare monthly management accounts pack based on actual performance vs forecast, budget and prior year
  • Monthly Stakeholder presentations – prepare monthly presentations including regular and ad hoc performance insights for senior management teams
  • Provide ad hoc support in the preparation of reports, reviews and presentations.


Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

Specific skills, knowledge and experience required to be able to successfully deliver the role:

  • University graduate with proven high level of academic achievement (BA or equivalent)
  • Good financial acumen (commitment to studying for an appropriate professional qualification) e.g. ACCA, ACA, and CIMA
  • Highly numerate with the ability to analyse data, spot trends and draw conclusions
  • Advanced Excel skills and some familiarity with PowerPoint
  • Strong written communication skills with ability to write about complex problems in a logical and concise way
  • Strong interpersonal skills, proven ability to work with others as part of a team
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines (including some flexibility on working hours)
