Position Title: Graduate Dimensional CAD Engineer

Duration: 12 Month Rolling Contract

Location: Gaydon

Division: Body Engineering

Our high profile customer in the automotive industry is looking for Graduate Dimensional CAD Engineer.

Inside IR35 - £19.32 per hour (Umbrella Rate)

Position Description:

• The Vehicle Structures Team engineer and deliver the Body shell (BIW ) and Sub frames for all the Clients’ great products, developing the structure to meet all required Safety and Durability requirements , and then working without manufacturing plants and suppliers to deliver the finished product.

• This role as Vehicle Structures Junior Engineer - the position will assist in day to day engineering tasks, including CAD interrogation and creation to support the Clients’ great new range of electric vehicles, Data Analysis, Benchmarking, Bill of Design updates, with training provided in all these aspects for the right candidate, who should be passionate about engineering, flexible and keen to embrace new challenges.

• Once trained the role will be primarily CAD model creation, capturing both CAD and non-geometric requirements and developing and visualising solutions in 3D models as part of the Vehicle Structures team

Skills Required:

• Automotive basic knowledge / appreciation
• Experience of CAD and or CAE
• Strong computer literacy

Experience Required:

• Mechanical or Automotive Engineering Degree, keen interest in Automotive engineering, attention to detail, and a passion to learn, as well as flexibility.

Experience Preferred:

• Hands on automotive experience, some working experience (not necessarily Automotive)
