Hospital Porter Profile at Barnet Hospital
Hospital porters play a vital role in keeping the hospital operating and doing what it does best. Without good porters our hospital couldn't deliver its life-changing medical services. We are looking for individuals who share our energy and passion, want to go the extra mile for our patients, and have a ‘can-do’ mindset - is this you?
Main responsibilities include:
- Delivering medical gas cylinders, equipment, stores, furniture, pharmaceutical and pathology items
- Distributing specimens and medication around the hospital in a timely and pleasant manner
- Handling linen, case notes and the collection and disposal of waste
- Receiving, recording and prioritising job requests in line with agreed procedures
- Supporting medical staff during emergency situations
No experience necessary!
