Role Overview & Responsibilities

Could you make a difference to the quality of life for older or vulnerable residents in your local community?

Companions Who Care are looking for mature, kind-hearted people with life experience, and a positive practical nature who are available to offer 6-10 hours per week. You will be required to provide companionship and support for people in their own homes. Visits are 1.5 hours minimum in length. You will visit the same client(s) each week to build up rapport and provide supportive client-tailored support.

To apply you must be fully up-to-date with your COVID vaccinations.

Although clients have different requirements, for this role you MUST be willing to help with the following.

Companionship / support with interests • Home help and light housework • Laundry and bed changing • Shopping and meal preparation • Trips out / help to attend appointments

The role does not involve you providing any personal care.

You will need a full driving license & your own clean, reliable car in which you are willing to take clients out and about. Also, you must own a reliable smart phone.

Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract
Part-time hours: 6-10 per week

Salary: £12.40-£14.50 per hour
