FLT & Reach Truck Driver - Warehouse Operative (Day Shift)

Role Overview & Responsibilities

About the job:

The primary purpose of this role is to (safely) operate mechanical handling equipment (Reach Truck and Counter Balance forklift trucks) to store, pick and despatch raw materials, packaging and finished goods to customer/supplier specific requirements. The job holder must have high awareness of customer and business requirements and ensure the products/materials they handle are to the correct safety and quality specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safe and efficient loading and unloading of vehicles arriving at Cod Beck Blenders Ltd.
• Receiving and recording stock onto the warehouse management system, ensuring prompt communication of any issues to Line Manager as well as Team Leader.
• Moving stock around the warehouse.
• Order picking - making up orders ready for despatch.
• Performing stock counts.
• Working with colleagues to ensure a safe and efficient workspace.
• General housekeeping.

Essential Requirements:

• Must have an in date/valid Counterbalance (FLT) and Reach Truck licence.
• Must have forklift and reach truck experience.
• Must have Warehouse working experience
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to carry out instructions and complete tasks as required.
• A need to use initiative and common sense at all times.
• Familiarity with computers is helpful.
• Flexible to the needs of the business such as overtime.
