Barista/Wait Staff

Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are currently looking to employ a barista/waiter/waitress for a busy Italian café. As a front of house employee you must provide our clients with a professional and friendly service. You must be able to take food and drink orders, produce beverages and deliver food to the tables. We are looking for someone who has patience, personality and perseverance to work under pressure within this role.

Role duties:

These include the following:

· Speaking and interacting with both new and regular customers

· Provide excellent customer service to ensure satisfaction, being friendly and polite at all times

· Take customer orders and deliver food

· Make menu recommendations, answer questions and provide information regarding food allergies

· Effective communication skills and work well with others during busy periods

· Up-sell additional products when appropriate

· Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation

· Carry dirty plates and glasses to kitchen for cleaning

· Maintain a clean and sanitised work environment

· Help with the clean down at the end of the day

· Regularly perform stock checks and place new orders

· Follow health and safety guidelines

Requirements:

· Previous experience in the catering industry

· Hands on experience with cash register and ordering information system

· Basic maths skills

· Attentiveness and patience with customers

· Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment

· Punctual and maintain regular and consistent attendance

· Contribute to a positive work environment

· Must be able to work on weekends and bank holidays

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £8.50-£10.50 per hour
