Role Overview & Responsibilities
Duties will include:
Goods In
- Assisting with the receiving and unloading of delivery vehicles
- Assisting with the cross checking of delivered stock against purchase orders
- Identifying damaged or incorrect items
- Delivering of stock to relevant departments
General
- Assist with container storage, inventory and security; organisation and packing/unpacking of container stock
- Assist with moving stock throughout site; safely using a forklift truck or T20 as trained
- General site maintenance, including cleanliness and safe storage in the yard, carpark and site
- Assist with waste management; including general waste collections, recycling, wood and cardboard; ensuring safe & proper use of equipment and reporting of any maintenance issues
- Assist other departments as directed by your manager/supervisor regarding bringing stock onto the shop floor, merchandising, removal of excess stock and/or waste
- Assist with car park duties as needed; covering the front door & sanitising of trollies as necessary
Assist in all areas of the logistics department; as well as any reasonable request for assistance as requested by your manager/supervisor
The ideal candidate will:
- Able to listen to and follow instructions
- Ability to complete a wide ranging set of tasks within a set time period; work under pressure
- Forklift licence beneficial but full training will be provided
- Ability to use T20 and other equipment safely
